Easy suggestions to help improve your health and fitness

bulletTry to get approximately 8 hours of sleep per night. This time needs vary due to the effects of stress, exercise, etc. "Early To Bed Early To Rise Makes A Man Healthy Wealthy And Wise"

bulletJuice at least once per day. My base for juicing is carrots and apples, then I add a variety of other fruits and vegetables. Fruits like pineapple, oranges, kiwi, and mangos give juice a good bang of flavor! I usually juice in the morning.

bulletEat raw salad at least once per day-- a combination of green leafy spinach, tomatoes, and chopped carrots is a good start. Experiment with other vegetables like squash and broccoli. I usually have a salad for lunch and cooked vegetables for dinner.

bulletLimit consumption of meat and severely reduce or eliminate processed foods, salty or sugary snacks. Replace these with healthy snacks like whole grained cereals, yogurt, or nuts and raisins.

bulletA favorite concoction of mine that I drink at least twice per day-- especially when I'm feeling ill. Here's the recipe: Add to one cup of water 2 tbs apple cider vinegar, plus 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, stir well. Google cayenne pepper and apple cider vinegar for more information.

bulletExercise at least twenty to thirty minutes per day. Try to include strength training, like push-ups and crunches, in your weekly routine. Easy day, hard day, take a break when you need it, and never give up despite setbacks.

bulletAvoid drama and conflicts with people as much as possible. Limit or avoid company with miserable, disgruntled, angry people who have a hopeless outlook on life. Be a positive influence yourself and find something to laugh at each day.

bulletCultivate healthy productive, quiet hobbies like writing, reading, and art-- as opposed to being on the computer all day. Avoid all work and no play-- and include family as much as possible in your recreation.
